  • Manage 21 part time student employees by directing work flow, shift scheduling and following through with disciplinary actions.
  • Provide cradle to grave logistical support to campus event planners.
  • Oversee the daily operational support for all events on campus, including but not limited to vendor selection and contract arrangements, review of event work orders, and inventory management.
  • Coordination of regional summit for Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors - International (ACCED-I) Region 1


HIGHLIGHTED EVENT EXPERIENCE

Illuminating the Holidays
[December 2010]

With the holidays around the corner, students at Seattle University wanted to create a new tradition centered around community and bringing a sense of family to a busy campus in the holiday season.

Responsibilities Included:
  • Coordinated sound checks of performers and speakers as well as facilities event role.
  • Coordinated load in and load out for all equipment
  • On-site implementation of event.

Fall Welcome Week & 
Freshmen Summer/Fall Orientation Activities  

[March 2010 to September 2010]

Summer Orientation required building a temporary, 16,800 square foot event space in our university's parking lot to host 3 freshman summer sessions. Fall Orientation involved building a larger, 20,000 square foot event space in our university’s parking lot to host 5 annual events with between 900 and 2,000 attendees at each event.

Responsibilities Included:
  • Vendor selection and communication to provide the structure, event equipment, technology needs and peripherals
  • Scheduled and managed physical setup and tear down of all event equipment within the structure
  • Communicated deadlines and important dates to clients
  • Coordinated client walk through, sound check, day-of support and troubleshooting as well as post-event follow up.
Commencement Weekend Ceremonies
[September 2009 to June 2010]

These events included our annual commencement brunch for graduates and their families as well as the formal commencement ceremony at a local venue. 

Responsibilities Included:
  • Assisted in vendor selection and communication to provide the event equipment, technology needs and peripherals
  • Scheduled and managed physical setup and tear down of all event equipment at brunch
  • Communicated deadlines and important dates to clients
  • Coordinated day-of/before load in and sound check times for university executive VIP’s
